4. Innovations adopted by law firms in the Southeast Asia region in the time of COVID-19

During these unprecedented times, industry leaders are utilising technology to their greatest potential. Our partner, Syazana Yahya was quoted by ALB on how Eugene Thuraisingam LLP has transformed and embraced technology:

At Eugene Thuraisingam LLP, we believe that agility and adaptability are essential to increase our competitiveness as a leading dispute resolution firm in Asia-Pacific. Before COVID-19, we have been actively boosting our technological capabilities, including adopting a new knowledge management platform which automatically organizes existing institutional knowledge and speeds up the research process. The firm has also shifted its practice of conducting meetings, hearings, arbitrations and mediations. There is now greater flexibility in conducting these events (being able to participate from whichever country they are in) which is especially important for our cross-border disputes.
