We are pleased to announce that Seraphine Loh and Lai Zu En have been called to the Singapore Bar!
Seraphine graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Singapore Management University in 2024, with a double degree in Law and Business Management. She was placed on the Dean’s List in all her academic years. As trainee and subsequently legal executive, Seraphine was instrumental, amongst other things, in our striking out of a USD 10 million claim brought against the President Director of an Indonesian telecommunications company against claims of alleged fraudulent misrepresentation and conspiracy brought by more than 15 investors. She also assisted in securing a favourable settlement of a complex medical litigation claim related to the post-surgical management of the claimant’s urological system.
Zu En graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Singapore Management University in 2024. As trainee and subsequently legal executive, Zu En has been instrumental, amongst other things, in cross-border criminal matters involving extradition requests from the Republic of Indonesia and the United States respectively, both of which raise novel points of law of public interest. Zu En also assisted in amicably settling of a dispute related to a gift of land amounting to SGD 3.8 million, as well amicably settling an arbitration involving SGD 6 million in alleged kickbacks and damages.
