We are delighted to be given the opportunity to be one of the four sponsoring law firms for the NUS Law Freshmen Orientation 2020.
This year orientation spanned from June to August with a myriad of activities lined up to bring 250+ incoming Freshmen together. Events lined up for the freshmen included a 3-day Kickstarter event to introduce freshmen to NUS Law, seniors and their peers, followed by two weekly events – Friday Fiesta and the Weekly Challenge. The orientation was conducted remotely due to the precautionary measures in place.
Freshmen have traditionally physically visited places associated with the legal profession during Matriculation Week providing them with a source of excitement as they get to travel out of school and learn more about the profession that they may be a part of in the future.
In addition to the moot demonstration “Moot! Live with ET LLP”, the firm was happy to provide the freshmen a glimpse of what a career in law could entail through the E-Firm Engagement segment. Although a physical visit was not possible, E-Firm Engagement is similar to physical firm visits albeit conducted remotely.
We hope that the freshmen found the 2020 Orientation to be a useful and rewarding one.
