In 2019, Suang Wijaya had also sat on the panel at this Conference discussing the Pro Bono scene in Singapore, alongside District Judge May Mesenas, Ms Sheela K Devi, Mr Lim Tanguy, Mr Leonard Lee, Mr Chan Hian Young and Mr Ng Shi Yang.
As a firm dedicated to the Criminal and Commercial Disputes, pro bono representation of accused persons in criminal proceedings is, and has always been, a core aspect of the firm’s practice, we are proud of our role in enhancing access to justice.
On the first day of the Conference, Eugene Thuraisingam was invited to deliver his opening address, alongside The President of ALSA International and the Executive Director of the Organising Committee of A2TW.
