Yellow Ribbon Fund Charity Gala 2023
The Yellow Ribbon Fund was established in 2004 and is the first national charitable fund devoted entirely towards the development and implementation of rehabilitation and reintegration programmes for ex-offenders and their families.
This year’s Charity Gala 2023 was graced by Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam as the Guest of Honour.
Meaningfully, the entertainment for the night was headlined by a band comprising current inmates, who received rousing support from the attendees.
There was also a live auction hosted by guest auctioneer Mr Thio Shen Yi, SC and a silent auction featuring acrylic and oil artwork as well as unique ceramic wares.
The event was well attended not just by lawyers, but also industry leaders who had donated generously towards the fund.
The Yellow Ribbon Fund provides financial support for:-
-Rehabilitation and reintegration support programmes for inmates, ex-offenders and their families;
-Aftercare support programmes and services; and
-Public awareness programmes aimed at creating and inspiring community action in giving second chances.
