Shirin graduated with a Second Class Honours (Upper) Law degree from NUS Law in 2021. As she pursued the double degree programme, she also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours (Urban Studies Minor) from Yale-NUS College in 2021.
Shirin is passionate about advancing access to justice and community welfare. In 2017 and 2020 she served in the Exco of the NUS Military Justice Project to educate the public about the military legal system. Currently, she volunteers with the Appropriate Adult Scheme to accompany young suspects in their police interviews.
In Yale-NUS College, she was involved in the administration of student life as a Residential Advisor. This was a meaningful time in her college life which grew her skills in active listening and communicating with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Shirin strives to understand legal issues holistically and to devise solutions that advance the interests of her clients. She is straightforward and tactful. During her time with the firm, she has actively handled criminal, civil and regulatory cases.
Outside of work, Shirin enjoys yoga, reading and a good cup of tea.
