We are honoured to announce that in the latest edition of the Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific rankings, officially released on 7 May 2025, our firm has been ranked the highest tier, ‘Tier 1’, for White Collar Crime, advancing from our previous ‘Highly Recommended’ status. We have also risen to a ‘Tier 4’ from a ‘Tier 5’ in Commercial and Transactions, and maintained our ranking of ‘Tier 3’ in Labour and Employment and ‘Other notable’ in International Arbitration – Domestic Firms.
Founding partner Eugene Thuraisingam continues to be recognised as a ‘Litigation Star’ in White-Collar Crime for the fourth consecutive year. Meanwhile, our managing partner, Suang Wijaya, maintains his ranking as a ‘Future Star’ in Commercial and Transactions.
The 2025 edition of the Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific rankings, accessible here, noted in their analysis that “the firm is respected in the market for its strength in constitutional and criminal litigation matters, and it has a robust commercial and employment disputes offering”. The analysis also highlighted the Firm’s involvement in landmark cases and its success in securing judgements that have shaped legal precedents in Singapore. Among numerous high-profile acquittals, one stands out as a historic first – the Court of Appeal’s unprecedented decision to revisit, and ultimately overturn, its prior conviction of an accused person.
The analysis further featured the following feedback on the Firm’s team:
Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific is the definitive guide to the Asia-Pacific region’s leading litigation law firms and lawyers and provides an in-depth analysis of the legal players shaping the dynamic practice of litigation. Their publication solely focuses on dispute resolution in 14 jurisdictions in the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, among others and over 20 practice areas.
Alongside the firm rankings, Benchmark Litigation also recognises the work of outstanding legal practitioners under the categories of Litigation Stars and Future Stars. These recommendations are based on three criteria: the complexity of cases, peer feedback, and client feedback. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our valued clients, business partners and friends for their continued trust and support. It is an honour to serve them in their legal matters. This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence, and we remain devoted to delivering the highest quality of service in every matter we handle.
