For the second consecutive year, Eugene Thuraisingam LLP has been recognised as one of Singapore’s Best Law Firms 2022 by The Straits Times and Statista, and one of the top five criminal law firms in Singapore to achieve a five star-rating. We are especially delighted to have received the highest number of recommendations of the 20 law firms ranked for criminal law.

2. Background of the Survey

The Straits Times and Statista Group, a leading international market research firm, conducted a survey to identify the go-to law firms in Singapore across 17 different areas of legal practice.

The Straits Times and Statista invited all law firms in Singapore, their clients, and legal industry professionals (lawyers in law firms, in-house counsel, and legal executives in companies or government bodies) to participate in the survey in a quest to identify Singapore’s most recommended firms in 17 different areas of legal practice. These legal practice areas included Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Banking and Finance Law, Charities and Pro Bono, Commercial Law, Conveyancing, Criminal Law, Family Law, Inheritance and Succession, Insolvency and Restructuring, Intellectual Property Law, Employment Law, Maritime Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Negligence and Liability, Real Estate Law, and the two newly added categories of Technology, Media, Telecommunication (TMT) Law and Offshore (International Firms).

The survey reached out to more than 6000 professionals, and gathered more than 16,000 recommendations. All the recommendations were analysed and studied and the top law firms in Singapore were identified and ranked according to the number of recommendations they garnered.
