(1) Commencement of Eugene Thuraisingam Asia LLC
With effect from 1 January 2026, Eugene Thuraisingam Asia LLC takes over the business of Eugene Thuraisingam LLP. Our refreshed website will be launched in due course.
This rebrand represents our deepening commitment to serving our clients and friends in Singapore, Greater China and Southeast Asia. At the same time, we remain true to the ideals of fearless advocacy and access to justice which inspired Eugene Thuraisingam to found his eponymous practice in 2012 and which continues to animate our work.
(2) Promotion of Ms Sophia Ng and Mr Ng Yuan Siang
We are also pleased to announce the promotions of Sophia Ng and Yuan Siang Ng as Associate Directors.
Sophia Ng has been with us since 2021. She is known to clients for her meticulousness, hard work as well as thorough planning and strategising, ensuring that our cases run in the smoothest path possible.
Yuan Siang Ng has been with us since 2022. He has demonstrated grit and determination in all areas of work, and is passionate about public interest litigation and the rights of refugees. Yuan Siang achieved his first milestone orally arguing before the Court of Appeal in 2025, in support of a client’s post-appeal application for stay of execution of a capital sentence.
We look forward to working with them as they continue to build on their respective practices.
(3) Appointment of Mr Faraaz Amzar as Director
We are also honoured to welcome Faraaz Amzar as a Director of the firm. With a First Class Honours from the National University of Singapore, Faraaz has accrued extensive experience in the fields of disputes and investigations. Faraaz brings both private and public sector experience, having worked (amongst other positions) as Justices’ Law Clerk, Magistrate of the State Courts, and as counsel in offshore firms based in Singapore handling internal and regulatory investigations.
(4) Conclusion
Lastly, we would like to thank all our peers, friends and clients, as well as all lawyers and staff of the firm both past and present. Without your support, our ongoing development would not have been possible.
We remain committed to deepening our bench, improving our services, and contributing to the administration of justice in Singapore and the region.
