Returning For The Second Year – Celebrating Etllp’s 10th Anniversary

Run for Justice returns for the second consecutive year, and will be held on 23rd April 2022.

In celebration of Eugene Thuraisingam LLP’s decennial anniversary, and in collaboration with the Law Society Pro Bono Services, both organisations join hands to complete a 100 km relay walk/run within one day.

ET LLP will be making a donation to the Law Society Pro Bono Services (“LSPBS”). This donation will go directly towards LSPBS’ recurring Inclusive Justice campaign, which supports their initiatives for foreigners in need, including migrant workers and spouses,

As of 18 April 2022, we are 5 days away from the 100km relay Run for Justice 2022 with the LSPBS!

On 23 April 2022, we ran 100 km in slightly under 24 hours together with our partners from the LSPBS, firm alumni, friends, and volunteers. Run for Justice II was a great way to celebrate 10 years of work and friendship at the firm.

To mark the occasion of our 10th anniversary, ET LLP made a donation of SGD 100,000 to the LSPBS’s Inclusive Justice project which provides pro bono services to impecunious foreigners in Singapore who need legal help.

Not only did we catch up with old friends, make new ones, and get some exercise done, but we also contributed meaningfully to the community we live in. This is something every participant can be proud of.

Eugene Thuraisingam LLP’s 9th Year Anniversary Fundraising Run/Walk For Law Society Pro Bono Services

1. Access to Justice

Access to justice for impecunious accused persons is and has always been a core function of the firm. Eugene Thuraisingam is honoured to have received the Law Society’s Pro Bono Ambassador Award 2020 for this, and eager to complement the good work of the Law Society Pro Bono Services (“LSPBS”), whose programmes help to provide legal aid to thousands who need it but who cannot otherwise afford it.

2. Firm’s 9th Year Anniversary

In conjunction with our firm’s 9th anniversary and in partnership with LSPBS, ETLLP organised a virtual run/walk to raise critical funds for LSPBS.

For each donation received, members of ETLLP and LSPBS ran or walked the corresponding distance throughout the month of April 2021. All donations were tax-deductible and will go directly to LSPBS’ campaign “Inclusive Justice”, which supports LSPBS’ court representation schemes for foreigners in areas of criminal legal aid, matrimonial matters and more. Tote Board will match donations to Inclusive Justice up to 40%, subject to a cap of $100,000, under Tote Board’s Enhanced Fundraising Programme.

We were honoured to have your support, which is vital to the continuation of LSPBS’s work to ensure justice for all. Thank you.

3. Closing of the inaugural #runforjustice fundraising campaign: Run for Justice 2021

At the conclusion of the month-long virtual run/walk #RunforJustice on 30 April 2021, ETLLP fundraised $103,400 on LSPBS’ behalf for the various packages taken up by the donors.
